Steady fishing last week across all the waters. It was certainly a little harder than previous weeks as the weather was unsettled.

Highlights of last week were definitely Roadford and Fernworthy.

  • Roadford produced 5 browns for Duncan Kier to 3lb 8oz!
  • 30% of anglers who fished Fernworthy caught 6 or more fish!
  • Malcolm Ure caught 16 fish to his boat at Kennick
  • Nigel Burley caught 5 browns from Colliford which included a 2lb fish
  • Perch fishing at Roadford produced 5 fish over 2lbs for Bruce Elston
  • Fernworthy and Roadford rod averages just under 4 fish per person


We have 4 boats available at Kennick, 2 at Siblyback and 2 at Roadford. Two people are now permitted per boat

Kennick Boat Bookings – Kennick has 4 boats available and they have been fishing superb!


Kennick was good again last week with consistent sport being had. If you have yet to take a boat out the fishing has been much more productive than by bank. Get your permits here.

The fishing was much harder at Siblyback last week with fishing conditions far from ideal. Its looking settled this week so should provide some really good fishing.

Rod Average: 1.25 fish per person
Best Bag: Simon Jefferies 2x Blues of 2lb and 1 Rainbow of 2lbs
Best Locations: crylla bay, marshes
Best Flies: buzzers, montana, kennick killer, orange fritz

Stithians was similar to the other waters last week with fishing being harder than the previous few weeks.

Best Locations: Pipe Bay, Goonlaze point, Dam Bank and Sailing club
Best Flies: Sedge, b&p, ptn, mallard and claret, buzzers
Best Fish: 2lb 8oz Rainbow

Colliford on the dries last week! All the fish recorded last week were caught on dries including another 2lb fish.

Rod Average: 1.5 fish per person
Best Locations: Gillhouse Bay, Redhill flats

Best Catch: Nigel Burley 5 fish to 2lbs

Terrific sport at Fernworthy last week. great rod average and 30% of anglers caught 6 or more fish!

Suncan Kier caught some cracking fish from Roadford yesterday 19th July. Duncan boat fished over the aeration pipes and caught 5 to 3lb 8oz on a squinky fly.

Best Catch: Jeff ferguson 7 fish to 1lb 4oz
