SW LAKES WEEKLY TROUT FISHERY ROUND UP Week ending 3rd November 2019

Rainbow and Brown waters

Siblyback was the stand out fishery last week producing bags of up to 8 fish with a few anglers catching more than 5 in their day. Most of the fish were 2lbs with a couple of really nice fish between the 3lb and 4lb bracket being caught. The rod average was 3 fish per person.

The England bank qualifier was held on 3rd November and Nik Tompkins was the winning qualifier with 6 fish. 3 other anglers qualified and to read the report please click here:

From the 8 anglers at Siblyback on the day over 40 fish were hooked but they were fighting so well many were lost! Stocky Bay, which is to the left of the dam as you look at it, was in prolific form with fish not too far out just where the shallower water turns dark.

Picture: Nik Tompkins landing a Rainbow just under 2lbs at Siblyback on Sunday….

It was much harder at the other rainbow waters but don’t forget day tickets are now reduced for the remainder of the month other than at Siblyback which has just been stocked and will be reduced on 11th November.
