Siblyback Lake

Trout Fishing at Siblyback Lake

This is a Troutmaster water.

Siblyback Lake, Liskeard, Cornwall PL14 6ER

This fantastic fly fishery on the edge of Bodmin Moor is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout averaging between 1 and 2lb with lots of fish in the 3-6lb bracket. We stock a large number of Blue Trout too and they fight well above their weight. We have a large population of resident Brown Trout too which are catch and release only. A ‘catch and release' Rainbow Trout option is available (barbless hooks must be used). The Trout come from Milemead Fish Farm and the quality and fight they give is second to none. Watch out for the fantastic hatch of beetles in May and June time!

Siblyback lends itself to some fantastic boat fishing with great drifts possible. There are boats for hire, but booking is essential to avoid disappointment. For more information click here.

South West Lakes Trust holds the annual Snowbee Team Bank competition (open to teams of 4) at Siblyback every April - please see the competitions page for more details.
